Four arrested in connection with drug trafficking

Early this morning, four Maltese men were arrested during a Police surveillance operation in connection with drug trafficking at the Valletta bus terminus.

Following a Police search, 45 sachets of a substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis, allegedly ready to be trafficked, were found in their possession.

The four persons, a 53-year-old resident of Birzebbugia, a 54-year-old resident of Marsascala, a 55-year-old resident of Marsa and a 56-year-old resident of Tarxien, are being held at the Police lock-up in Floriana for further investigations.
