Early this morning, at around four (0400hrs), the Police were requested to assist in an apartment in Vjal il-Bon Pastur, Balzan.
Preliminary investigations by the Police found that an 81-year-old man fell about 4 storeys in the yard below his residence.
A medical team was called to the scene but unfortunately he was certified dead shortly afterwards.
Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia LL. D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while Police investigations are ongoing.
