Today, at around 7:00 a.m. (0700 hrs), the Police were informed of a traffic accident in President Anton Buttigieg Road, Żejtun.
Police officers immediately attended the scene, and preliminary investigations revealed that a collision had occurred between a Daihatsu Sirion driven by an 81-year-old man from Żejtun and a Kymco motorcycle ridden by a 42-year-old man from Cospicua.
A medical team was called to the scene, and an ambulance transported the motorcycle rider to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
