Argument in Court Chamber

(PR 285/25)

On wednesday, the 11th of June at around half past eleven (1130 hrs), the Police were asked to assist in an argument during a case in one of the court chambers.

It results from investigations that while a 28-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay was leaving the courtroom after being ordered by the Court, he approached one of the persons with whom he had a case.

Some persons who were present immediately intervened, while Police officers and Court officers assisted.

The 28-year-old man was immediately arrested, while the other person, a 49-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay, went to the nearest Health Centre where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations into this case are ongoing.
