Another person arrested in connection with motorcycle theft

Another person was arrested in connection with reports of motorcycle theft in various localities.

On Sunday evening, the Police were informed that a person is allegedly stealing a motorcycle at Dawret Ħal Tmin, Zejtun. The Police immediately went to the scene where they spotted a motorcycle behind a tree which had visible damage to the ignition.

 

A search immediately began in the area where the Police spotted a man in Triq id-Daħla ta ‘San Tumas, Żejtun, who matched the description given of the suspect. The man, a Lithuanian national, was arrested.

He will be arraigned in Court today at 1030 hrs before Magistrate Dr Nadine Sant Lia LL.D.

Over the last few weeks, investigations into stolen motorcycles have led to the arrest of at least another five persons, where Court proceedings are underway.
