A 34-year-old Nigerian man lost his life after he was pinned between some products and machinery while unloading the same products in a container.

The accident occurred at around 1800hrs, in a factory in Triq is-Santwarju tal-Ħlas, Qormi.

A medical team was called on site to assist, but the worker was unfortunately certified dead on site.

Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D was informed about the case which opened an inquiry while investigations by the Police, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
