Body found at sea
 
 

The Police are investigating the discovery of a corpse at St George’s Bay, St Julian’s.

Early this morning, at around 0100 hrs, the Police were informed that a body had been spotted at sea.

Following this information, the Police went to the scene where they found the body, which belongs to a man, however, it has not yet been identified as it was found to be in an advanced state of decomposition. Investigations showed that the body had been in the sea for several days.

Magistrate Dr Joseph Mifsud LL.D was informed about the case and appointed several experts to assist him.

An autopsy on the body is expected to be carried out during the inquiry to establish the cause of death.
