Yesterday, at around 1700hrs the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq il-Kbira San Guzepp in Hamrun.
Preliminary investigation showed that an impact occurred between a Yamaha motorbike that was being driven by a 43-year-old man who resides in Attard and a Toyota Vitz that was being driven by a 19-year-old man who resides in Santa Venera. On the motorbike, there was also a 68-year-old woman who resides in Attard.
An ambulance was called on site to take the pillion to Mater Dei hospital for further treatment. Later she was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Police investigation is still on going.
