Today, at 1600hrs, the Police were informed that assistance was needed in a garage in Triq id-Dejma, Tarxien.

Preliminary investigations by the District Police showed that a 45-year-old man from Tarxien has suffered some injuries after his scaffolding collapsed while he was carrying out some work.

A medical team was called on site and an ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The man was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
